Neuralink statistics

There is more and more happening around Neuralink. The development and testing of their BCI is gaining momentum. Looks like soon it will be almost impossible to keep track of how many users the company already has, who has what type of interface, where and at which clinic they were implanted, etc. That is why we are trying to record this information and present it in a clear form here. We ourselves are curious how long we will be able to keep up with Neuralink…

In the statistics section you will also find an overview of Neuralink investors and links to company progress presentations.

The page is continuously updated with new information.

Czech version is available here.

Users

In this section you may find a table summarizing basic information about all Neuralink users. If you want to find out which user has which type of interface, when and where they were implanted, or which studies they are participating in, you have come to the right place. Not all users share this information publicly, which is why some of the table fields are blank.

Below you will also find a table with the annual number of users.

[2025.11] User counter website

You can find a Neuralink user counter at howmanyhumanshaveneuralink.com. It counts officially announced patients, so it doesn’t add much new information, but it’s certainly interesting that someone is taking on the task of funding and maintaining the domain. It currently provides the following information:

[2025.09] Products and trials table

DJ Seo during his prezentation at the Choi Jong-hyun Academy of Science and Innovation in Soul, South Korea, showed the current table of products and clinical studies.

[2025.09] BCI usage statistics: Monthly hours of independent use

Presented during Neuralink summer update in June 2025.

[2025.06] BCI usage statistics: Cumulative days and hours

There are currently 12 people worldwide with Neuralink implants. Together, they have had their devices implanted for 2,000 days and have actively used them for over 15,000 hours.

DJ Seo also added that on average, Neuralink patients use their implants for 7 hours and 40 minutes a day.

[2025.06] Implantation cadence

Presented during Neuralink summer update in June 2025.
